It’s about time! A Congressional Commission has recommended to Congress and the President that a national museum of women’s history be built on the Washington Mall as part of the Smithsonian.
And we can help make it happen—establish a bipartisan and national American Museum of Women’s History in Washington, DC, dedicated to showing the full scope of the history of women in America. This new museum will tell the stories, celebrate the accomplishments, and illuminate American women’s history in ways that will inspire and inform people of all ages and all walks of life. But additional Congressional action is still needed to make the museum a reality.
Thanks to the leadership of Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney and many other dedicated women, there is hope that the museum will move forward given the Commission’s strong recommendation.
